Drama rant #29: Taiwan Special

I know I promised you a drama rant yesterday but our internet disappeared and only turned up now. So I'll give it to you now ;)
A friend of mine gave me a list of suggestions of Taiwanese dramas to watch and because of that I've watched a two of them already. That's also the reason of why there are only Taiwanese dramas in todays rant.
Today's rant is about Smiling Pasta, Why Why Love and Just You.
Be really careful for spoilers because this time there is a lot of spoilers
Smiling Pasta
Smiling Pasta is my third Taiwanese drama that I've finished watching and I loved it. Although it got a bit annoying with the love triangle (which almost every drama has) it quickly got back to the cute love that the two main characters had. Wang Cyndi (Love Keeps Going) plays yet again a clumsy girl called Cheng Xiao Shi but I absolutely loved her in this drama too. Teo Nicholas aka He Qun made me fall for his cute smile and wonderful voice. And Cai Gino did a great job in this drama as He Qun's brother Ah Zhe even if I didn't fall for him. He really felt like a safety net. Zhao Joyce wasn't that annoying as the girl Rita, but I still have a small problem with girls that wants to have both guys. Thankfully she wasn't as greedy as other similar characters in other dramas.
The Cheng family was quite annoying for always being too nosy in Xiao Shi's life. But they were still loving and supporting so in the end it weighed up for it.
Another one who need's to be named is Vincent played by Di Zhi Jie. He is He Qun's manager and in the beginning I thought he was one of the devil's helper. But he turned out to be so sweet (well, except for one time). I actually started to like him. But I'm still wondering if he's gay or not xD
This drama doesn't have an annoying sickness involved even if it does take a visit to the hospital. For that this drama gets extra points. But since He Qun is too stupid and slow at love, I actually wanted to punch someone at one point because of him, this drama gets a minus point. Overall this drama is one of the best Taiwanese dramas I've seen and I wish it wouldn't end. The songs that Teo Nicholas sings in the drama is amazing. I'm totally in love with him!
Why Why Love
Because I didn't have any internet connection yesterday and today I started watching Why Why Love with He Mike (Love Keeps Going) in the main role. He plays Huo Da and is once again a mean devil. This drama also stars Yang Rainie as the main girl Tong Jia Di (I somehow always thought of Jan Di from Boys Over Flowers) and Wang Kingone as the second main male Huo Yan, Huo Da's older brother.
If you haven't figured it out yet it's a triangle drama with these three where the girl eventually falls in love with the devil. I really liked this drama. But some things made me not like it as much as Smiling Pasta. For example because the girl Yang Yun Shu played by Judy Fukumoto. I couldn't watch her at all. Like I said before I have a problem with girls that want to keep both guys and she is one those girls. And what's worse is that she used one while trying to get the other one. So she definitely destroyed the drama a bit. Secondly this is the second drama I watch with He Mike and it's the second time he gets an serious disease. It's also the second time he tries to hide his sickness from his girlfriend. So the last three episodes I just watched because I had to. It's like Royal Family.
But apart from that I loved He Mike and Yang Rainie. It's not often I like the girls in dramas but Rainie really did a great job. And He Mike will always be my Taiwan love. He's really good.
A side note though, I really loved seeing the three main actors goofing off camera. They were so cute!
Just You
I have only seen 7 episodes of this drama because it's still airing. But I wanted you guys to know that I really like this drama. There ain't many dramas where you'll find the worker locking her boss up outside while being drunk and then forgets about it so he's being missing. You guys should definitely watch this if you have a chance!
