Drama rant #28: Royal Family

So I've almost finished Royal Family starring Ji Sung (Protect the Boss), Yum Jungah (Shut Up Flower Boy Band), Jeon Misun (King of Baking, Kim Tak Gu), Cha Yeryeon (Little Black Dress) and more. I only have 3 more episodes to watch but I need to write this before I finish it.
Just don't watch it if you haven't.

So I started watching this drama because of my desire for Ji Sung (since Dramacrazy is gone and I don't have Protect the Boss on my computer). Not my greatest choice. This drama is 18 episodes long and already at like episode 8 I thought it should end soon. But no, they had to drag it on to 18 episodes and I'm just wishing it to end as soon as possible.
I think Ji Sung's part is genius and the evil mother is doing a good job at being evil since I really hate her.
But the main, main character that is played by Yum Jungah. I can't stand her. She's neither evil nor good. I can't decide whether to like or hater her. Although I hate her more than I like her.
The youngest child of the evil mother is played by Cha Yeryeon and she does a good job. I hope to see her and Ji Sung together at the end of this drama. But even she is hard to like at times. Although I can understand her a bit more since she grew up in that environment.
As for Jeon Misun I'm sad to see my favourite mother play one of the bad guys. She do make up for it a bit in the later part of the drama but I still miss how she was in King of Baking, Kim Tak Gu.
The story is too tangled now that I just want to throw it away. But I don't have anything else to watch right now so I'm forcing myself through it because of Ji Sung and the fact that I'm curious on how it will end for his part.
I do not wish for anyone to watch because even if I love Ji Sung's character in the drama, his story has been to entangled to the extent that I'm starting to dislike it.
I'll see if I make another rant about this drama when I've finished it :P
